Ghost of Oceans Inside Us

Ghost of Oceans Inside Us

During an approximately twenty minutes long performance the artists symbolically enter a space, where plastic as we know it disappears and becomes a bridge to the waters of ancient oceans. Through open imagination they try to evoke sensitivity in their audience to the world which has long ago changed its form. They try to perceive this world and call it back to existence.

The Ghost Compost Collective works with the notion of anarchitecture coined by Jack Halberstam, where the disruption of the known forms does not have to result in their end, but rather the disruption can make space for different ways of existence and relations. They then use this newly created space as a prism through which they can perceive the contexts they exist in.
