During day-long workshops, students could try out different ways of using weeds in an art and craft practice. They explored the characteristics of plant-based resources as well as their interrelations. From the raw resources they then created samples with textile production techniques. At the same time, they discovered the urban wilderness in the neighbourhood of Kafkárna.

Thea Chatrná is an alumni, a postgraduate student and an artist at UMPRUM. Her work deals with utilizing the potential of weeds in textile art.
