Kateřina Vídenová – The Feast of Embodied Imagination

The Feast of Embodied Imagination is an activity that guides participants through imaginative ways of nourishment, connecting the experience of the body with the broader ecological, cultural, and social contexts of food.

This is not a typical cooking workshop or a biological model of nutrition; participants encounter poetic, sensory, and reflective practices that open up space for perceiving the body, the environment, and the energy around us. Each course of the menu represents a different form of imaginative nutrition—from inhalation and grazing to osmotic bathing and photosynthesis—allowing participants to experience a connection with nature, their own senses, and their imagination. The introduction provides facilitators with guidance on how to introduce participants to the concept, create a safe and supportive environment, and set a framework where everyone can experience the feast at their own pace and level of intensity. The main goal is to strengthen a conscious relationship with food, expand the ability to critically reflect on its origin and impact, and inspire small and large changes in our daily choices that support more sustainable and equitable food systems.
